Vanilla wow download and setup tutorial

In this tutorial the downloading, installing and connecting of the wow 1.12.1 client to Feenix realms will be explained step by step
After following this tutorial you will be able to connect to:

Vanillafeenix (wow-one.com)

Warsong 1.12.1 Highrate
Al'Akir 1.12.1 instant 60

Emeralddream (emeralddream.com)

Emerald Dream 1.12.1 1x Blizzlike


1. Vanilla Wow client download - Preparations

First, to download the game client you will have to get a program like µTorrent or BitTorrent
If you prefer better quality downloading but with the downside of more memory usage, you should pick BitTorrent. If you can settle less memory usage, but also lesser quality (should use if your computer has low RAM or CPU) choose µTorrent.

WinRAR: DOWNLOAD to unpack the client files

When you are done downloading BitTorrent/µTorrent, install the program, run it and you shouldn't have to do more for now while downloading the game client


2. Downloading the wow 1.12.1 client:

You can choose from where you want to get the client: Without installing (full client) or by installation. If you choose to install it, you will need to install some patches in addition to get to 1.12.1

1.12.1 WoW No-Install (full client): DOWNLOAD
1.12.1 for non-torrent users: DOWNLOAD


3. Installing the wow 1.12.1 client:

No-Install setup

Extract the .rar file into a directory of your choice. Example: C:UsersPublicGames
When the extraction has completed, you can proceed to step 4

Remember to never start Launcher.exe or the game will start updating itself beyond our servers accepted patch

Installation file setup

1. Extract/unzip all the files into a folder of your choosing. Don't forget where you extracted it to

2. When the extraction has completed, click on Installer.exe and the 1.12.1 installation should begin. Make sure you know where you installed the game

3. Move the 1.12.1 patches into the folder where you installed the game:

- Start wow-1.12.0-engb-patch.exe and let it finish completely.
- Start wow-1.12.0-to-1.12.1-engb.exe and let that one finish too.

When the patching has completed you can proceed to step 4

Remember to never start Launcher.exe or the game will start updating itself beyond our servers accepted patch


4. Set your realmlist

Realmlist.wtf is a text File that tells your WoW game client which server (realm) to connect to. Wow one downloaded clients come with a prefilled realmlist, but if you did not use our download, or want to connect to emerald dream, you can change your realmlist.wtf also manual.

Realmlist.wtf is located in your world of Warcraft directory. To change the server (realm) you want to connect to open the realmlist.wtf file, and replace its content with:

For Warsong and Al'Akir:

For Emerald Dream:

set realmlist emeralddream.servegame.org

Tip!
If you want to play on all Feenix Realms you can store both realmlists in 1 file. Be sure to "comment out" the realmlist address you do not want to connect to with a #

To connect to Warsong and AL'Akir (vanillafeenix), change your realmlist.wtf file to:

To connect to Emerald Dream (emeralddream), change your realmlist.wtf file to:

4.1 Get the Vanillafeenix Launcher ( wow-one only )

To connect to our game servers you can use our Launcher. Currently the launcher is only available for Vanillafeenix realms
The launcher will set your realmlist automatically and will let you pre-choose the realm of your liking ( Warsong 12x or 1x rates, Al'Akir instant 60 )

5. Create your Feenix 1.12.1 game account
